The brief was unusual: make a space that feels like a Karnataka palace, but one that breathes. Every column, every arch — drawn from heritage references and adapted with intention.

Gold motifs are not decoration at Nati Nawaabi — they are a vocabulary. Every pattern tells a story from the Nawabi courts and Karnataka's carved wooden temples.

My role was to ensure nothing was lost in translation — that the Karnataka and Nawabi elements speak to each other authentically, as they would have in a historic royal court.
